Easy Holi Cake Recipe with Amul Thandai Milk

The lazy baker in me discovered a genius shortcut 😄
Used Amul thandai flavoured milk for this cake and the aroma in my kitchen instantly screamed HOLI!
Soft, fragrant and full of festive flavours — zero complicated prep required. The secret ingredient was Amul Thandai flavored milk 🙂

Preparation Time – 15 Minutes. Baking Time – 40 minutes

Ingredients:

Maida – 1½ cups

Sugar(granular) – ¾ cup

Amul Thandai milk – 1 cup

Oil – ⅓ cup

Baking powder – 1 tsp

Baking soda – ½ tsp

Salt – ¼ tsp

Vanilla – 1 tsp

Rosewater – 1 tsp (optional)

Cardamom powder – 1 tsp

Kewra Essence – 1 tsp (optional)

Vinegar/lemon juice – 1 tsp

Almond flour (optional) – 2 tbsp

Cornflour (optional) – 2 tbsp

Method

Preheat oven 170°C.

Whisk milk + sugar + oil + vanilla + rose water.

Add vinegar and mix.

Sieve dry ingredients separately.

Fold dry into wet gently.

Pour into lined tin.

Top with pistachios & rose petals.

Bake for 40 minutes.

Notes

  1. You can slow bake it at 160 C as well, the crumb comes out better
  2. I used 3/4 cup sugar and overall the sweetness level was ok along with the Amul milk’s sugar content
